Alex Turner is an Australian trail running coach and outdoor fitness specialist who makes full use of Dubai's underappreciated natural spaces. While most Dubai trainers crowd the beach, Alex explores the dunes, desert tracks, and urban parks that surround the city — finding extraordinary training environments that his clients never knew existed.
His trail running coaching covers technique, pacing strategy, and the specific strength work that reduces trail running injury risk and improves performance on uneven terrain. He also runs desert fitness sessions that combine bodyweight strength work with the unique challenges and rewards of training in natural desert.
Alex coaches at Nad Al Sheba, the Al Quoz industrial parks, and leads group runs into the desert and Hajar Mountain foothills for weekend adventures. He is the organiser of Dubai's informal trail running social group, which attracts 20–30 runners each Saturday morning.
